While all of the vintage details are still prominently present, this new all-solid guitar has taken a leap forward in terms of sound and build quality when compared to its popular predecessors. Here, that famed full-range acoustic sound comes with rounded trebles and a satisfying sustain, courtesy of a solid mahogany body and a solid Sitka spruce top supported by redesigned offset X-bracing. Thankfully, Fender throw in a deluxe hard-shell guitar case for free so you can keep the whole thing in good nick.

The PO-220E: Homey Playing Comfort and Fuss-Free Controls

This electro-acoustic Fender orchestra guitar treats your left hand to the playing comfort of a slim-taper C-profile neck coated in satin-gloss lacquer, while the electronics have been souped up in the form of an undersaddle Sonitone piezo pickup combined with a body-sensing pickup of the specially-developed Sonitone Plus Soundhole Pickup System. In practice, that means you're set up with a blend control and a volume pot which are used to tweak the balance between both pickups and dial in the volume.
